This marks the 33rd Takotook gathering. The night unfolds in two acts, built on the bridge between nostalgia and now.
The first set is a tight, focused performance by our guest of honour, whose name we're keeping under wraps until the lights come up. They'll be backed by Takotook's house band, carrying familiar melodies into a contemporary frame and setting the tone for the evening.🪗
After a short break to mingle and reset, the second set opens into something different: a jazz fusion jam led by the house band alongside a carefully curated lineup of invited guest musicians. This part of the night lives in the tension between intention and instinct, between the songs we grew up with and the language we speak now.
